A senior Polish official has ordered psychologists to investigate whether the popular BBC TV show Teletubbies promotes a homosexual lifestyle.
The spokesperson for children's rights in Poland, Eva Soblinkered, singled out Tinky Winky, the purple character with a triangular aerial on his head.
"I noticed he was carrying a woman's handbag," she told a magazine. "At first, I didn't realise he was a boy. Somebody think of the children! Please won't somebody think of the children!" she continued in a high pitched shriek.
Tinky Winky's psychological evaluation is being treated fairly, according to a government spokesman, but he will be kept separately from the other Teletubbies and in solitary confinement until the tests have been completed.
It was also reported that his trademark handbag was taken away for forensic investigation and his triangle removed in case he tries to hang himself whilst awaiting test results.
