The film Blood Diamonds has inspired a global movement to donate diamond engagement rings to help the oppressed diamond miners across Africa.
"What a Rock!" exclamations have turned into what a tax deduction as women who once flashed their "best friend" in the faces of their best friends have decided to divest themselves of these tainted jewels.
Buffy Vamp-IreSlaya of the Newport Vamp-Ireslayas donated her million dollar stone to Save D Miners: "I just couldn't bear the thought of those poor child soldiers and the repressed diggers. I made Archibald go right out and exchange my diamond for a million dollar sapphire. I think the black rock puts me in solidarity with my gem mining brothers and sistas!"
Hollywood producers who reap a fortune with this diamond film are already planning knock-offs tentatively entitled Greedy Gold, Oppressive Opalsand Solidarity Sapphires.
