A boy has told a group of his closest friends that he is to sue his parents for having him without his consent, so that he can pay for a holiday to Ibiza.
Sam Bratt, 17, says he did not ask to be born, and, although he loves his life, and his parents, the bottom line is that he doesn't have the cash needed to fund his trip to the sunshine isle in August with his mates.
Initially, it was thought that Sam had the same concerns as the 27-year-old Mumbai businessman, Raphael Samuel, who is also suing his parents because they did not consult him about his conception. Raphael hates his life, job, home, India, the world, and the fact that he exists.
But that is not the case with Sam. He said:
"Mum and Dad are great. But, yes, it's true they didn't consult me about being born, and my solicitor says I should be very confident about a win, and a substantial payout."
Sam's friends are staying in self-catering apartments in San Antonio for the first two weeks in August, and he reckons he'll need about £2,000 to survive.
