Mark Zuckerberg, the CEO of Facebook, who has been answering questions before Congress about his company's relationship with Cambridge Analytica, has been feeling the backlash this week - he's been 'Unfriended' by more than 50,000 'friends'.
The controversy over the access to, and storing and manipulation of the personal data of 'unknown millions' of Facebook users rumbles on, but this new development will have come as a crushing personal blow to Zuckerberg.
One Facebook user, Marilyn Groupie 19, wrote:
"Fuming. Zberg can shuv it. Dun wiv im."
Another, Donna SmithwasJones commented:
"Not having all my dirty washing aired in public by the likes of you, Zucker."
Others sent obscene pictures to Zuckerberg as a parting shot, before pressing the 'Unfriend' button, and consigning the Facebook CEO to history.
Many subscribers have even gone so far as to delete their Facebook accounts completely. Several of these also sent graphic, lewd and disgusting images - one, allegedly, of a hairy arsehole - to Zuckerberg, before conclusively closing their accounts.*
*These claims cannot be verified, as the senders are no longer on Facebook.
