A real life hijack in Malta is to be filmed because it's cheaper than the one that was actually being filmed!
As soon as the film crew realised there was a real hijacking taking place, they fired the actors without pay and purchased the rights to use the real life one instead. The real hijackers were asked to repeat their actions in the plane and were quite willing to do so, but did ask for reimbursement to help them pay their lawyers fees.
Maltese security authorities were not pleased with the real-life version being used as entertainment, but they soon withdrew their complaints when it was promised that those officers arresting the real hijackers would play a starring role and anything is better than Bruce Willis.
The actors who were fired on the spot were also not very happy especially as they heard their flight back home was on the hijacked plane itself. They refused to board the plane just in case there were more hijackers hiding, so a discarded refugee boat was organised to ship them back to mainland Europe.
The film company are following their dangerous journey across the Mediterranean in the hope that their boat capsizes so they can film yet another real-life, action-packed story! After all, it's all about the bucks and who gives a fuck about fantasy!
