The Confederation of African Football (CAF), last week, at the federation's General Assembly chose Gabon over Ghana to host the 2017 edition of the African Cup of Nations Tournament.
The Government, as well as some officials of the Ghana Football Association, has expressed disappointment at the development accusing the Federation of foul play.
The Presidency, in a statement, has argued that Ghana's bid was the most comprehensive and deserving of all the three bidders.
The statement goes on to say that the Federation's decision to conceal the results of the voting confirms the Government's suspicion of foul play and thus the need to start a legal action against them.
Sources close to the Presidency confirm that the Sports Minister is of the opinion that the Federation in their choice discriminated against Ghana on the basis of economic growth because they have no respect for the President John Dramani Mahama's Better Ghana Agenda.
