Virtual Snow in the French Alps

Funny story written by Ella Davide

Saturday, 20 December 2014

A serious deficit in snow - fall has lead to skiers finding a new way to enjoy the French 'Pistes'

'Neige Virtuel',or ' Virtual Snow', allows the skier to 'sense' the snow- rich slope, without ever leaving their chalet.

The skier simply downloads an app to their Smartphone and VoilĂ  , they get to hear the swish of the skis and even feel cold, as they use the App.

However, Swiss and Austrian Ski Experts say this is completely bogus:

'The only reason the customer feels cold and hears swishing while viewing this so - called Virtual Snow, is due to the archaic heating systems in most French Ski Chalets - The pipes are old , full of air - locks and very noisy ', say Maria Von Trapp and Joachim Ulrich.

They advise coming to Austria or Switzerland , where adequate snow - fall is guaranteed under The Geneva Convention.

The funny story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
