North Korean leader Kim Jong-un, who made his first public appearance since 3 September earlier today, is said have contracted the deadly Ebola virus.
North Korea's official news agency, KCNA says that Mr Kim "very likely" caught the disease from an African prostitute.
A North Korean daily newspaper carried several photographs of Mr Kim using a walking stick, in what many believe will be the last photographs of the stricken beloved leader.
The recent absence of the 32-year-old leader had prompted a flurry of speculation about his health. Some observers said Mr Kim could have been suffering from obesity, AIDS, or even a mental illness while others even questioned if he remained in control of the state.
Well, that clears that up.
