Drivers In Donegal are Ireland's most chivalrous according to an experiment conducted last week.
AA Rescue recently published results of a survey showing that Donegal drivers were most likely to come to the aid of a driver in distress at the roadside. The least helpful drivers appeared to be in Meath and Kildare.
RTE Radio 1 decided to put the results to the test. They placed Sarah, pictured, at the side of the road in Donegal and left Barry stranded in Kildare.
Within 30 minutes minutes, Sarah had attracted 300 drivers offering to help. Poor Barry didn't get a sniff all day!
Said Sarah: "It was freezing but people still got out of their cars to help. Some of the drivers were from Donegal, so credit where it's due."
