English thespian Colin Firth is nailed on to win an Oscar for his sensitive portrayal of Colonel Gaddafi.
The film, Gaddafi With The Golden Gun, based on the novel by Ian Phlegm, has won rave reviews from critics, even though it has not yet been made.
"I am fed up playing poofy English nincompoops and am looking forward to the challenging role of a crazed narcissist" said Firthy, from the saloon bar of The Duke Of York in Chiswick.
People are already talking about the shock and excitement they experienced the moment they heard that Colin Firth was going to portray Gaddafi.
"Everyone will remember where they were when they first heard the news. It is right up there with the Kennedy shooting and QPR beating Chelsea" said amateur historian Sir Roger Clunge.
Local man Bob Drivel has told reporters about hearing the news.
"I was on the Benghazi with a bad case of the Jonathan Trotts when I heard that Colin Firth was going to play Gaddafi in a film. I will never forget that moment" said Drivel.
