Plains GA: Former President James Carter has filed a defamation of character civil action lawsuit against President Barack Obama in Georgia State Court.
The complaint by the former president alleges that he can't walk down a street in Plains without someone calling me Obama; telling me that since I closed the peanut farm unemployment has gone up; my EPA has shut down the white lightning industry due to SMOG; my mandatory healthcare premiums are going to bankrupt them; the shovel ready Plains Convention Center received no stimulus money; the NLRB blocked opening of the new Harley Davidson motorcycle plant and everybody complains when I take a vacation in Atlanta.
At the preliminary hearing the Georgia State Judge recommended to the former president that the lawsuit be re-filed in Washington DC Federal Court where nobody knows you!
