Daniel Morales, a 58 year old homeless man in New York City, has been reunited with his mobile phone after being separated for 10 years.
Morales was one of number of persons who had been participating in a project in the city whereby unfortunates were given the loan of a volunteer who would play the part of their daughter and help them as their real offspring would be expected to.
Within a couple of weeks of having a volunteer at his side, his "daughter" Lisa Royberg had tweeted all her friends with a description and photograph of Morales' long lost Motorola Dynatac 8000.
2 days later Lisa received a tweet from a contact claiming to have seen the mobile in an alleyway off Times Square.
Morales made the trip from a shelter uptown and a tearful reunion took place that day.
Project coordinator Julio Lapaz commented "this makes the whole thing worthwhile. The look on Daniel's face when he returned was priceless".
