Wikileaks founder Julian Assange was excused earlier today after being found guilty of treason.

Assange had been extradited to Sweden where he faced two charges of rape whereupon U.S. officials swiftly had him further extradited to the United States where he faced charges of treason.

Assange pleaded 'not guilty' to charges of treason claiming his Wikileaks website displayed information that was in the public interest but prosecutors successfully argued that 'material displayed on Wikileaks', (especially the video entitled 'Collateral Murder'), 'endangered the lives of US servicemen and women, private contractors as well as the national security of the people of the United States of America'.

It took the jury less than thirty minutes to find Assange guilty who was taken away and put on death row pending execution.

It wasn't until the 11th hour that he was given a Presidential pardon by President Obama after it was revealed, (on Wikileaks) that Barack Obama and Assange were actually related.

President Obama and Assange are second cousins, once removed.

The funny story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
