Washington DC: Infamous spoof writer Philbert of Macadamia's last court appeal was rejected by the US Supreme Court today. Philbert was convicted of violating the Endangered Species Act (ESA), 15 years ago.
Philbert arrived at the Supreme Court chamber to hear the verdict. He was riding his power scooter and surrounded by his wife, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Lawyers of the US Department of the Interior, PETA and some biological diversity organizations had allegedly charged that Philbert had stepped on the Blue Cockroach, a very rare bug, listed on the Endangered Species List (ESL). Philbert was convicted in a lower court.
Philbert's crack defense team of lawyers and barristers consisting of Morse, Bureau and Skoob199 Esq. had from the first allegation of the ESL violation kept the aging writer from being sent to prison, as they went through the appeals process. Instead of remand, Philbert was confined to his home in Pizmo Beach Pennsyltucky. The legal defense team had argued that the world had at least a trillion other cockroaches, what was one more bug more or less.
An agreement was reached with a lower court on sentencing, with Philbert accepting lethal hedonism via being smothered by a dozen naked Playboy Magazine recent playmates of the month!
