With Congressional agreement to extend the Bush Era tax cuts, thanks in large part to actual non-partisan "you show me yours and I'll show you mine" negotiations, President Obama's internal poll shows immediate and firm growth, bringing satisfaction to the American people and for himself as well.
"I think many Democrats wanted to stop the cuts and let the Bush model grow", says soon to be House Republican Leader, John Boehner, "but we finally agreed that the Bush cuts needed to stay neatly trimmed to best serve the needs of the American People. And by the way, it's pronounced Bay-Nor, OK? No emphasis on the other vowel".
Democrats were reluctant to sign on to the deal, but after looking at their own polls and seeing significant downturn and deflation, agreed to keep the Bush taxes trimmed. "In the end, polls show growth on both sides of the aisle and everyone is happy", says outgoing majority leader Nancy Pelosi. "Speaking of that, I need to book an appointment for a waxing".
