Excerpts from Steve Rattner's new book on the auto bailouts by the Obama administration upset many Democrats.
Rattner, who headed President Obama's auto task force for 120 days, has written a first-hand account of the auto rescues called "Overhaul".
In it, he quotes White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel as saying "Why the f*ck should we even save GM?" during a meeting at the White House. The president's top political adviser, David Axelrod, cited data showing that most Americans hate f*cking bailouts almost as much as they hate f*cking politicians.
Rattner's task force associate, Ron Bloom, warned that doing nothing would put hundreds of thousands of people out of work. Emanuel, according to Rattner, replied "F*ck the UAW. They're nothing but God-damned c*ck-sucking pussies."
Yesterday, UAW President Robert King moved to calm potential sh*t over the f*cking remarks.
"The hard f*cking work of this God-damned president literally saved the f*cking auto industry," King said.
