The elephant that suffered the indignity of losing its trunk for the advancement of medicine

Los Angeles, California. A doctor here has carried out the world's first elephant plasty, transplanting an elephant's trunk onto a 74 year old man.

It was explained as being necessary for the patient as his wife could no longer stand his ceaseless ramblings about anything and everything. The pensioner is now rendered mute by the operation, not withstanding the ugly appearance his trunk makes.

The advantage however of the process is that the patient can now make trunk calls. Lots of people have queued up to see the man post operation, but recoil in horror when they see th extent of his change.

Apparently, the man has begun growing elephant ears and his condition will be continually monitored with every passing day.

The funny story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
