Humor writer anthonyrosania is earning more writing for TheSpoof.com than he ever did working long hours for whatever retailer was kind enough to employ him.
"It's the most fun I've ever had that didn't end with an indictment," said the writer with the clever nom de plume "anthonyrosania", real name Anthony Rosania.
His formula for writing top-notch comedy, which is seen by tens of fans every day, is simple. "Every morning I look to see what's trending high on Google, think of a funny slant on it, and then rehash old dick jokes until I hit my 100 word quota."
"I post a couple of these, usually by noon, and then I'm farting in my jammies for the rest of the day."
Rosania is also thrilled that he knows exactly how much he's earned via The Spoof's online writer's desk.
"There are some amateur writers on the site, who write to earn 'points', or some such sh-t," he said. "But the paid writers, like me, earn 50 cents per view. I usually earn $300 to $600 a day, sometimes as much as a thousand."
And what is the key to big bucks? "Celebrities and reproductive organs, pure and simple. If I posted a story today with the title, 'Myley Cyrus Lindsay Lohan Iphone 4 BP Oil Leak World Cup vuvuzela iPad vagina', I'd have a condo in Boca Raton by Friday."
