A regular bed has been installed in the room

Sean Parnell, who became Alaska's Governor due to the resignation of Sarah Palin, has admitted that he had to remove a stripper pole from the Governor's mansion.

"My research showed me that it had been in the bedroom that was used by Sarah Palin's daughter," said the Governor. "It was that one that had a baby and that soap opera relationship with her boyfriend."

When asked if he was referring to Bristol Palin, he confirmed that it was her name. "I also had the mirror removed from the ceiling and the heart shaped bed replaced with a regular one."

Reporters wanted to know if these items were paid for by the state or by the Palin family, but state accountants were not able to verify either way.

It could also not be verified whether or not Bristol used the pole, the bed, the mirrored ceiling, or any of the collections of sex toys and dvds that were found in the bottom of one drawer.

They were also unable to verify that it had been Palin who installed the items. "For all we know, they could have been here since the Alaskan Gold Rush," said one state staffer.

The Governor was then asked what had been done with the items that were removed. He commented that "I installed them in my private residence, that I will return to at the end of my term, for research purposes."
