Kidnappers have a weakness for Maccas

Los Angeles, Monday. In the developing case of the CBS newsreaders kidnapped while reading the nightly news bulletin, Police believe they have a significant clue.

One of the kidnappers was caught on CCTV near a McDonald's restaurant not far from the "scene of the crime". According to Police, the individual entered McDonalds to grab a bite to eat while ferrying his hostages away to their secret location. Staff at McDonalds have been questioned and further vital information gathered.

In a further development, the kidnappers sent an email to CBS asking for three chocolate sundaes and two junior burgers or else the newsreaders would "cop it". Their wishes were complied with and the food left at an agreed collection point.

Police believe they are not far off a major breakthrough and appear hopeful of a speedy resolution.

The funny story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
