In a revelation that surprised many in the Jewish community but few in Washington DC, Senator Joseph Lieberman confirmed today that he has joined Hamas. Evidentially, Lieberman and Khaled Meshaal, the head of Hamas reached their agreement at a private dinner at Lieberman's home in a Washington DC suburb.
In a dinner of roast pork wrapped in bacon with a gefilte fish side dish, the two leaders decided that their agendas were the same and posed for photographers after the meeting while clasping hands and smiling amiably.
As Washington insiders huddled and tried to figure out what this would mean for US relations with Israel, Senator Lieberman drove Meshaal to the airport. A long range boom mike picked up the conversation as Meshaal boarded his plane after giving Lieberman a small satchel......"Here's the pieces of silver Joe....you've earned it" The mike picked up Lieberman's reply..."Yes....I'll tell them that the Holocaust Museum is just another dirty Jew trick" Lieberman put on his yomulke and returned to his car.
As the Senator approached the car, his driver Itzak Robinovitz was heard to say to him in a very distressed voice..."Say it ain't so Joe"
