According to a major news source, Rush Limbaugh is getting ready to make another purchase of a major institution. Following the disclosure this week that he is bidding to buy The St. Louis Rams, he has once again shocked the news industry and the political world by announcing he is preparing to purchase The Congressional Black Caucus.
Washington insiders were shocked and dismayed by the news. Although most Congressman and Senators are virtually owned by industry lobbyists, never has there been a case of outright ownership of any member of either caucus in the legislative bodies.
Members of The Black Caucus were quick in their response. "No way" said several members. "I will not serve under Rush Limbaugh" said another. "I will not go back to the days of slavery" responded the Chairman.
Insiders report that despite the quick and bitter response Limbaugh was continuing to negotiate behind closed doors with most off the members of the Caucus who were discussing salary and non-disclosure requirements.
It is understood that both parties to the sales agreement were preparing a joint statement which will read in part:
It is time for all of us in this great country to say.....once and for all time...we no longer see Black or White here in the United States of America...The only color we see is Green"
The Reverend Al Sharpton is reported to have negotiated the agreement. He was overheard whispering to Limbaugh...."My brother........."
