Citizens of Atlanta, GA and its surrounding counties today brought a class action suit against Governor Sonny Perdue.
Citing his recent prayer meeting requesting the Almighty to send rain, the citizens assert that the Governor was guilty of felony negligent rainmaking. His failure to set limits on the amount of rain requested of the Lord God is at issue.
The suit charges that by his failure to specify the amount of moisture needed to end the drought that had plagued Georgia, the Governor caused, personally and with the help of local preachers who assisted in his performance, untold harm even unto death to the citizens he serves.
When asked for comment, Governor Perdue refused to question the works of the Lord God saying merely that "The rains are punishment for all those sinners who failed to vote for me. You know who you are and the Lord knows. End times are fixin' to come. Y'all watch out"
