The National Worm Society has announced the discovery of a new species of worm, a member of phylum Priapulida, a phallus worm. The news was met with great joy among the biological community, and the National Worm Society was asked to give the species a name.
"It is an incredible honor," said Horace Blagojevich, president of the Society, who could barely contain his excitement. "We have decided to name it kanius westada, which is Latin for Kanye West."
Mike Sanford, the biologist who discovered the worm, revealed that he had trouble identifying it at first. "I wasn't sure if it was phylum Vllasa, a butt worm, or phylum Priapulida, a phallus worm," he said, "but after much consideration, I realized that the worm was more of a dick than a butt."
