Baghdad, Iraq - Iraqi shoe thrower, Muntadhar al-Zeidi, is being released for good behavior and will go on to host Taliban Idol, a new reality t.v. game/talk show to provide a forum for multi-talented, radical muslim Taliban supporters.
Said Idol representative, Moshe Greenblatt, "Mr. al-Zeidi is particularly well positioned as a cultural icon of those sympathetic to the cause of terrorism. He will draw huge ratings."
"The show format will be such that three radical muslim sympathizers will compete each night. They will be given seven minutes to air their views followed by a presentation of their musical talents through song and dance. At the end of the show, audience members will chose the best of the three. To much applause, the winner will then parade around the audience wearing a belt of semtex explosive which, after a period of time, he or she will detonate."
"Theoretically, the winner is supposed to go on to compete in the next level," said Mr. Greenblatt. "But for obvious reasons, this will not be possible. That is a wrinkle we still have to work out. However we feel that it will be possible to replenish those audience members that become casualties at the end of each show. There seems to be an endless stream of people who want to fight for the cause."
