Former UK Prime Minister and European Union President - in - waiting Tony Bliar has brokered a deal with new US president Barracks Obama.
Apparently, David Beckham (England soccer star) and his relatively unknown wife, the former Spice Girl Victoria Adams are in the terminal stages of American disgust with the pair of them and are desperate to return to Britain.
The deal was agreed when Bliar and Obama met in a tent in the Mojave Desert a few months ago. Mr Obama showed Bliar the soles of his shoes and Bliar perspired through his unwisely chosen blue shirt.
In any event, it was agreed that the Beckhams would be repatriated on humanitarian grounds and that Britain would send a luxury coach to bring them home the long way round.
British public protesters against the deal say that the Americans should keep the Beckhams and that they should serve the full term of their contracts.
American supporters of the repatriation have paraded outside the US Embassy in London carrying placards insisting on the repatriation.
A spokesman for the Beckhams said "David and Victoria are keen to return to England where a bright future awaits both of them. David is to form a boy-band to be called Benders Like Beckham and Victoria hopes to break into Harrods".
