US President Barack Obama arrived here in London today ahead of the G20 Summit, and surprised Prime Minister Gordon Brown by notifying him of his intention to attend the funeral of Jade Goody on Friday.
Goody died after a battle with cervical cancer on Mothers' Day, and, as the President also had a mother, he holds great sympathy for the former reality TV star, and will be there to pay his respects.
This may not sit comfortably with many of the Goody set, however, as Jade was not known for her liking of people of colour, or, as she often referred to them "niggers".
Jade Goody was catapulted to world stardom after her infamous Racist Spat with the beautiful Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty in Celebrity Big Brother 2007 show - an incident which brought Britain and India to the brink of war. Some of President Obama's inner circle have already made their position clear about how far he should go on this latest project, by informing him of the ill-will felt towards niggers by the Thurrock Patriots, a local group who think black people should fuck off back to the jungle from whence they came.
The President says, despite their fears, he intends to make an appearance at the graveside in an attempt to 'reach out' and build a bridge between himself and those who would see him back in Africa, or wherever the fuck he came from.
