"If it is reasonable to think that a Supreme Court Justice can be bought so cheap, the Nation is in deeper trouble than I had imagined," Supreme Court Justice Scalia said today, referring to the recent court ruling that did not require Scalia's hunting buddy Cheney to reveal information about the participants in his energy policy task force.
"I'm about as useful for protecting citizen rights as this duck decoy here," Scalia said, "and I cost just a little less. Sorry guys, I guess this country is just ducked."
Vice President Cheney, on hand to retrieve the duck decoy he had loaned Scalia for use during the press conference, smiled and agreed. "Duck ‘em if they can't take a joke - or a bribe," Cheney said. "Duck you all."
