Psychologists have finally come to a determination as to the reason why the Bush administration failed to understand why the Iraq war was a failure and why the economy was starting to go under during their watch.
Borrowing from an idea originated by the Firesign Theater troupe, the mind scientists discovered that a 'Bozone' layer existed around the entire Cabinet and was especially dense around President Bush.
A 'bozone', as defined by Firesign (they possess the copyright), is an invisible layer that surrounds stupid people and prevents them from receiving any smart ideas. This thick cloud of hard-packed psychic matter only allows whatever low quality thoughts already within the minds of those encased to bounce ceaselessly around inside ones skull giving one the illusion of possessing mental and intellectual abilities that are sufficient to rule others.
Some will even become obsessed that these puny abilities are of historic value.
The error of this judgment will become apparent when the Bush Memorial Library opens or when Cheney's secret files are finally opened to the public, although in Cheney's case it is more of a 'Blowhard-zone'.
