Memphis, Tennessee has announced the intention to build a 200 foot tall transparent baboon statue, already being called "The Liberty of the South".
The statue will be built on hills outside Memphis, and illuminated at night.
Final plans have not been revealed, but it is hoped that the statue will have lifts to a viewing area at the top.
It would become another "must-see" tourist destination for the millions of Elvis fans each year who visit Graceland and still buy his Cds 32 years after "The King's" death.
The aim is to finish the statue in time for Memphis' 200th anniversary in 2019.
