While the Jonas Brothers made their way through New York City last week to work the TV talk-show circuit and show up at the TV networks, an army of young female fans awaited them at every stop.
In the grand tradition of the Beatles in their day, followed by the Monkees, etc. it was hard to do any spontaneous interviews because of all the screamers.
Between the fan camps, text-message updates jamming all the satellite waves, they ran.
Outdoors for an appearance on CBS' "The Early Show," the brothers, Kevin, Joe and Nick, acknowledged the crowd everywhere and seemed to be enjoying themselves.
And, like the sixties and early seventies, the fans were really enjoying themselves.
When asked about the other groups before them, in one interview Nick stated, "We don't claim to be as talented as the Beatles, but as for the Monkees, at least we play our own instruments."
