(Washington, DC) -- Yesterday, Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi defended her seemingly erroneous statement that without a stimulus package "500 million Americans lose their jobs every month."
Pelosi clarified the figure, stating "I was including illegals", referring to people who enter the United States illegally.
"These poor immigrants overcome walls, fences and hicks with guns and Bibles trying to hunt them down, just to come into this country to try to find work. And until we get this stimulus package, those millions will also be losing their jobs every month" the Speaker stated.
With several Republicans still questioning the 500 million figure, President Barack Obama arose to defend the Speaker's defense.
"You know, in all fairness, she may be right" the President declared, in a concerned tone.
"Consider my TSA and National Defense job cuts. If those pass, where else are we going to find work for the soon to be released Gitmo prisoners" Obama asked.
