Taxman cometh.

Actually, Wesley Snipes should have been appointed the Treasury Secretary if failure to pay the largest amount of back taxes had been the requirement. Mr. Snipes failed to pay a whopping $17 million, but Treasury Secretary Geithner only owed $40,000 in back taxes. Peanuts. The job should have gone to Snipes in a slam dunk.

Instead, actor Snipes has been given a still pending prison sentence of three years in jail. That's the big house with the slammer! No cabinet meetings, basketball games at the White House, Camp David weekends, or rides on Air Force One, (even though the guy was Passenger 57 in a film of the same name.)

Seems both Secretary Geithner and actor Wesley Snipes didn't know one had to pay taxes on income earned while working in a foreign country. However, while Snipes was an actor with "people", Mr. Geithner was working for the International Monetary Fund.

It definitely sounds like money, knowledge and experience, but things get kind of confusing and murky even for people whose careers are nestled comfortably in the sticky sweet smelling chocolate fudge world of currency and negotiable instruments. Ask the bailout recipients who were caught ordering up a $50 million corporate jets - made in France - with taxpayer money.

Says ex-Governor Blagojevich, "I believe it."

The term "death and taxes" is pretty clear in first grade. Tax information can also be Googled on the internet 24/7. "Never cross the taxman," is a serious warning, like a scull and crossbones on a label.

Former Senator Tom Daschle was picked by Presideny Obama to be the Secretary of Health and Human Services. He finally made good on unpaid back taxes of $140,000 by filing an amended return on January 2. Not as big as Wesley's $17 million whopper, but it isn't Geithner's peanuts either. It's more like in the coconut ballpark.

Says Blagojevich, "Stuff happens."

Senate majority leader, Reid, described Geithner's unpaid tax situation as a, "Hic-cup." Stand clear when he hears about Daschle's $140,000 coconut. No drama Obama must be singing Paliachi right about now.

Says Blago, "And he has a great voice."
