Any American Roman Catholic who grew up in the 1950's could tell you about the endless mission banks, collections and auctions of pagan babies to fuel the missionary effort to what would later be known as the third world countries. Families told of their priest brother or sister sister who was in some God forsaken place winning souls for the Pope and risking ending up in a cannibal's cauldron.
Well, it seems that the communion tables are turned as few North Americans even consider the celibate priesthood and floods of foreigners flock to US shores to save the souls of heathen Americans.The few well educated American Catholics who even bother to go to church anymore, explained that they were praying for the gift of interpretation of tongues since week after week they encounter Christ under the priestly sign of totally incomprehensible former pagan babies who speak English , well, like infants.
