BOSTON, Massachusetts - It is no secret that Caroline Kennedy, 51, wants the New York junior senator's seat more than anything else in the world.
Even more than fancy designer bras from Victoria's Secret, Lobster Newburg, or Cabernet Sauvignon.
Kennedy has the backing of soon-to-be-Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, cousin Maria Schriver (Mrs. Arnold Schwarzenegger), Lindsay Lohan, The Eagles, and The Pope, 'El Numero Uno' in the Catholic World.
But, like everyone, she does have her detractors. But, she stands steadfast in her conviction. She reportedly stated, that people know who she is...and they truly like her.
Everyone saw her at the Democratic National Convention in Denver. Caroline has appeared on Larry King Live, on Oprah, on Sesame Street this past Halloween, and on the Weather Channel, twice.
Kennedy went on to say that she is a woman, a Harvard grad, a wife, a mother, and a stamp collector. She then said, "But above all I am a Kennedy and everyone knows that the Kennedys are all natural born leaders.
"In fact, only last week I read somewhere that the name Kennedy comes from the old Irish word, Kxvmzkzhk, which means 'folks who are all natural born leaders.'
Kennedy states, "I know that there are probably seven or eight skeptics out there who ask if Caroline Kennedy is qualified.
"And to those jerks I answer, 'Yes punks, Caroline Kennedy is qualified...Caroline Kennedy is an attorney, and a damn good one at that. And hardly anyone knows this, but Caroline can cook in seven different languages.
She went on to say that another positive trait she has is that she is considered to be 'filthy rich.' And she does not apologize beause as she puts it, she can't help it if she just happens to have tons and tons of money.
She is quick to point out that she did not get that money by winning it in one of those power ball lotteries either.
Kennedy smiles and says, "I earned it by working my cute little butt off as a waitress at Denny's Restaurant. Plus my senior year at Harvard, I did a little foot modeling on the side, or more appropriately, on the bottom.
"One year I even flipped burgers and Frenched fries at a local eatery named "Brother Bill's Boston Burger Bistro."
Kennedy replied that she wanted to get back to the 'filthy rich' issue. "Let me say this, I own a 375-acre estate on the Island of Martha's Vineyard.
"And I will gladly show anyone how much money I have in my checking account, my savings account, and my rainy day account.
"Once you see those accounts with those astonishing numbers you will know that there is no way in the world that Caroline Kennedy is ever going to be tempted with money bribes by voters, politicians, meter readers, or lobbyists.
"And one more thing that I have that no other politician has. I have a song named after me. Yes, back in 1969, Neil Diamond wrote a song named 'Sweet Caroline' which made it all the way to #4 on the Billboard Chart.
"After almost 40 years, Neil (Diamond) finally admitted this year, for the very first time that he got the inspiration for the song when he saw a photo of a young teenage Caroline Kennedy with her pet horse."
Neil Diamond has already assured Caroline Kennedy that she can use his song, "Sweet Caroline" as her theme song for her 2010 senate re-election campaign.
