Barack Obama's vacant senate seat sold for $300,000 this morning to an undisclosed bidder on e-bay. Chicago governor, Rod Blagojevich was reported selling the vacant seat to make some extra cash.
"I just wanted to make some money," the naked governor said over the phone in a conversation intercepted by the FBI. "I've got this thing and it's %$#*& golden, and I'm just not giving it up for ##$$%&* nothing. I'm not going to do it."
Speculators were not saying what Blagojevich was referring to as golden. Whether it was a trophy wife was undetermined, however, skeptics did conclude that it was not an Oscar, or certainly a new dog that the governor had in mind.
Don Rose, a longtime political strategist in Chicago says, "It's about giving the public a little piece of governement and a preeminent desire to ride first class on America's finest X-rated shuttle service to the moon, Spread Eagle Airlines Shuttle Service to the Moon. Who can blame him?"
A spokesperson for the airline could not be reached, however, Blagojevich also reportedly tried to sell his wife as well on e-bay for a meager, $75,000 which was the amount that she brought into the Blagojevich household last year as a part-time real estate broker.
The public still awaits news of the name of the buyer.
