Embattled Illinois governor Rod Blagojevich denied allegations that he was going to name himself to the senate seat vacated by President-elect Barack Obama.
"I have never considered myself for the position of Senator." Governor Blagojevich told me. "I could not afford the asking price nor could I make any promises to the governor in exchange for the Senate seat.
"I have yet to make a decision of who I will choose as Senator. I will post a poll on my social networking websites and let the people decide."
In a related matter, the Illinois State House decided to build the new Governor's mansion next to the state prison.
