Who would have guessed then, that Valley Stream, LI, would rival Pamploma's La Corrida de los Toros.
The little known township began to think about its indigenous population of wild asses. Hungry for some revenue the banal burg advertised the world's greatest running of the Jennie and Jack asses. Thousands lined up as early as Thanksgiving morning for the highly touted La Corrida de los Burros Salvaje.
The release of the savage creatures finally took place at 5am Friday morning. The results were tragically predictable. Before the event had even proceeded one minute a Valley Stream Walmart temp was trampled by the asses.
Walmart and Valley Stream can now be partners on the list of asinine rituals that show disrespect for life.
