Deeper Meaning To Gilligan's Island?

Jasper, Georgia resident Ray Donnie Singletary, 45, blasted traditional American methods of viewing episodic television Monday at the Georgia Cracker Restaurant, proclaiming that watching a series on DVD is "the only way to go."

"There's no commercials, no waiting for next week's show, and you can stay up all night watching 36 episodes in a row if you want to," said Singletary, adding that without the convenient digital medium, he would not have been able to view all three seasons of Gilligan's Island in one week.

"It turned out to be a pretty amazing series when you view them in their correct sequence and several raise some questions of life that many of us today are still trying to answer.

"Like what would we really do if we were those seven castaways? I mean, considering everything they went through, they still held onto their sense of humor.

"Also, exactly when did it take place? And what was that code name the skipper kept repeating to Gilligan?

"Did "Little Buddy" actually mean, they had a small nuclear device ready in case the Ruskies found out what those two were doing and who they really were?

"I would have never, ever watched that on regular TV because the week between episodes ruined the artistic floe"

When asked what he thought of the Mary Ann character getting arrested recently for smoking marijuana, Ray Donnie stated, "You simpletons. Did you not hear Gilligan's slip every once in awhile and calling her, "Mary Jane"?

How do you think she got that name? That Professor wasn't raising poke bushes!"

The funny story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
