America - (AssoCIAted Mess): Former UK Prime Monster Tony Blair has turned to a stint at satire in a bid to polish up his putrid, JP Morgan money-grubbing, tarnished image.
He will appear as the star attraction on Thursday's The Daily Show with Jon Stewart before launching his equally hilarious fledgeling role as Yale University's new stand-up comic with his faith and globalisation routine on Friday.
A sneak preview of his US TV appearance shows the former IRA chief of Army Council chuckling at his miraculous faith 'at getting away with it.'
Wearing a shiny new navy blue TossBros suit Blair, 69, is quizzed by Stewart about his ambitions to become the next married Pope.
"Of course there is still the matter of my wife Cherie's canonization," Blair explains.
"But I think the faithful would quickly come round to the idea of a new pope married to a saint."
Stewart looks dumbstruck at this point and demands:
"Just what sorta saint do ya have in mind, Tony?"
"Well, Jon, it's early days yet. But I think Patron Saint of Ground Zero has a nice kinda ring to it.
"Don't you?"
