John McCain dressed as usual in his surge blue suit told the American people today that he was wrong about the war in Iraq but he was right about the surge.
"As in Nam I went to the wrong war but once there I fought valiantly. Once again I put our country in a quagmire in Iraq but true to form I sent thousands to get me out of it!"
McCain told the nation: "My record is improving. By the time we got out of Viet Nam almost 60, 000 US soldiers had died and probably a million Vietnamese. This time we will probably be out with only 5,000 dead Americans and only hundreds of thousand Iraqi casualties. With this kind of tremendous improvement I think I deserve to be your president!"
