(San Jose, CA) Internet auction site eBay confirmed today the authenticity of a posting by Arnold Schwarzenegger offering his services as Vice President to the highest bidder.
When questioned, the California Governor, former renowned actor, and one-time World's Strongest Man did not shy away from media inquiries.
"Yes, I posted. Republican, Democrat. It's a very fine line. I just want to be in the action, man" Schwarzenegger elaborated in his often-imitated Austrian accent.
Although elected as a Republican, Arnold's extremist conservationist views and marriage into the Kennedy family have found him also embraced by the left, thus potentially accommodating either Obama or McCain.
eBay refused to relinquish the official names of the VEEP bidders. The company allows registered bidders to use a "user ID" in order to avoid revealing bidders' true identities.
But as of Tuesday evening two bidders had made offers. The first came from "WindyCityGangsta" at $200K, and was quickly followed by a $250K bid from "POWman".
Governor Shwarzenegger intimated that he loves the political spotlight. With his governership due to expire during the next Presidency, Arnold refuses to fade away, promising "One way or another…I'll be back!!" raising both his left and right arms and flexing for the cameras.
