Energy markets were rocked, and oil prices soared to a record $143.75 per barrel today following comments by John McCain in answer to why the current administration's energy policy had failed so miserably, and how his would succeed.
"I personally believe that President Bush was unable to do so because...some...people out there in our nation don't have alternative transportation and...I believe that our...domestic exploration like such...South Africa and...the Iraq, everywhere like such as...and...I believe that they should, our refinary capacity over here in the U.S. should help the U.S...or...should help other countries and should help the Iraq and the Asian countries, so we will be able to build up our future, for our children."
