With the promotion of General Petraeus to the Ruler of Middle Earth, Emperor W appointed General Raimundo "Il Duce" Odierno to military dictator over the democracy in Iraq. Odierno and Petraeus will be pro-consuls to Middle earth.
Former Pro-consul Admiral Foxy Fallon was abruptly disappeared by the Bush hit squads because of his opposition to a war with Iran. Emperor W is reported to have thrown one of his infamous temper tantrums: "I want one more war! And I will have one more war and no fox of an admiral will stop me!"
Il Duce Odierno pledged his allegiance to the Emperor and his new Viceroy with the Roman gladiators' salute: "It is a good day to die!" Il duce promised if nothing else he will make the trains run on time.
This will be quite a feat since Iraq has never had a railroad. When Senator Joe "The Whisperer" Lieberman informed Il Duce of his error, the pro-consul scoffed: "Then my Hebrew friend, the camel caravans will arrive early!"
