American Democratic presidential hopeful Barack Obama has revealed that he has played the race card for years in order to promote his political career.
"I figured I could get a lot more milage by claiming I was black," said the charismatic candidate.
"Irish politicians in America are a dime a dozen," said the well tanned senator. "My real name is spelled O'Bama and my pops is Barney O'Bama a pub owner and African Studies buff from Dublin.
"In college I was continually mistaken for being black. I would tell people I was black Irish, but they didn't understand. I let it drop because the chicks dug the whole black thing and I scored like crazy.
"I recently decided to come clean about my background because I'm so damn popular now that it doesn't matter anymore."
Senator John McCain, the Republican front runner and Senator O'Bama's chief rival who is also of Irish heritage, came back swinging when he revealed to the media yesterday that he is really a woman.
