Washington, DC - Yesterday evening, as President Bush concluded his town hall meeting on taxation and crime, he mingled with the attendees on the South Lawn. The meeting was intended to demonstrate citizen participation in the political process, so White House event planners coordinated with many entertainers to take part in the event as a warm up (or perhaps distraction) for President Bush.
Following the event, Bush was seen shaking hands with one of the opening acts - a magician from Atlanta, GA, who had performed some amazing illusions prior to Bush's speech. The magician was overheard agreeing to give one more magic trick and was heard to say it was his interpretation of crime and taxation.
Onlookers were amazed as Bush dropped his pants for the man. With an excited smirk, Bush said, "Hey, it's for the magic." The magician told President Bush he would insert a thumb. Bush, afraid to stop the show, stood for it. After a few seconds, Bush stated, "I don't see the magic and it hurts a little." The man, still "inserting himself," only replied, "ta-da," and the captioned photo was taken.
