Las Vegas, Nevada (IP) - The Reverend James Jones who heads the powerful Southern Baptists organization and Ayatollah G.W. Bushmeni Talibani who is world leader of the First Taliban Church of Holy High Fidelity have announced that the two religious groups are joining forces.
They agree that many of their religious teachings coincide and that together they can bring an end to women's rights, the manufacture and sale of alcoholic beverages, soft porn, cable and satellite television, the publication of George Orwell's "1984", "Animal Farm", and Al Huxley's "Brave New World", non-religious music, secularism, abortion, self abuse, fornication, buggery, and prostitution.
They sat together at the same table and both men had their beautiful nieces with them here in Las Vegas which is a well known mecca for conventions. Their nieces were both very attractive and the foursome seemed very thirsty and drank what appeared to be ginger ale from beautiful green bottles that were replaced by attentive waiters as soon as they were empty. They apologized for their bloodshot eyes and said they were very tired from all of the religious activities that kept them up very late at night.
The ladies were in a very jovial mood and one of them accidentally knocked a brown paper bag off of the table and out spilled a half dozen magazines with very colorful covers. The good reverend Jones quickly, if not a bit nervously, organized the magazines and as he leaned over some blue pills spilled out of a pill jar and he scooped them up and put them back in the jar. "Uh, Ahem, these are for a serious case of gout I have been suffering from", he said. A waiter walked up and they paid their bill and were quickly off towards the door and all jumped into a long white limo and were gone in a hurry.
How nice of them to bring along their beautiful nieces but unfortunately not much information was gathered in reference to their wonderful plans to bury the hatchet and join forces.
