Cape Canaveral - (Ass Mess): NASA is to send an FBI-reinforced extradition team to the International Space Station to deport space shuttle pilot William Oefelein where he is in hiding after lurid publicity surrounding the Lisa Nowak love triangle episode in February this year.
US naval officer Oefelein will be extradited back to earth on June 1 after running scared following his extramarital affair with Lisa Nowak whom he left for another Air Force captain Colleen Shipman.
This triggered Nowak's trashing of part of the ISS after her attack on Shipman in a parking lot of Orlando, Florida Airport.
Nowak was charged with assault, kidnapping and destruction of evidence after cops found her naked, save for a NASA-issue diaper, as she attacked Shipman with a pepper spray.
Police said they also found a knife, a steel mallet, a BB pistol, two chainsaws, a club hammer, a NASA standard-issue fully charged portable electronic cattle prod, rubber masks, a bullwhip, twenty yards of roping, manacles, thumbscrews and a gallon of tequila in the trunk of Nowak's car.
Oefelein fled shortly after the incident by stowing away on an ISS-bound shuttle and has been hiding out ever since.
The NASA officials have now officially fired him and are senind a posse on the next available shuttle.
A NASA spokesman said today that both the US Navy and NASA came to this mutual division after the FBI volunteered its crack team of fugitive catchers.
Oelfelein will now be given the chance to be deployed at the Naval Network Warfare Command in Norfolk, Virginia working as a potato-peeler in the staff kitchens.
