But who is Satan backing in 2008?

Boston - (Ass Mess): "Only those of us who believe in Satan" will defeat Republican candidate Mitt Romney in the 2008 White House campaign according to the Reverend Al Sharpton who weighed in to the debate today.

However Sharpton quickly refuted the notion that he was questioning the Mormon's personal belief in the Devil.

"I have absolutely no problem with one Mormon running for office," Sharpton said.

"Sure if suddenly there was a whole bunch of them I'd be shitting bricks same as any other God-fearin', but so far there aren't so I ain't.

"Anyway, those of us who really believe in Satan will defeat him anyways, so don't worry about that, it's a done deal."

Mitt Romney's campaign team was quick to respond and said they were confident that their man would be the first Mormon to serve as president - "apart from all those previous who we've made honorary Mormons as part of our on-going tradition."

Sharpton then issued a statement saying: "What I said was that we would defeat him, meaning as a man of the cloth who understands evil.

"A Mormon, by definition, believes in the Devil. They don't believe in the same Devil as I do, but by definition, they believe."

Rev Pat Robertson, 73, has yet to pontificate on the subject.

The funny story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
