Just days after adopting a southern drawl for a political rally at a black church, Sen. Hillary Clinton today appeared to take on a "gangsta rap" dialect when speaking to a Snoop Dog convention in Compton, CA.
She referred to the group as her "homeys" and said "we about to get jiggy wit dis y'all" as she detailed her plan to raise the minimum wage for rap video dancers.
Not everyone was amused with Mrs. Clinton's speech and critcs say this type of pandering to specific ethnic groups is racist and demeaning. Al Sharpton led a protest in front of the Senator's office and told the press, "Dis here iz racist an' she should resign from da senate now. Word!"
So far, Clinton has not apologized for her comments, but did add that "Al Sharpton needs ta git uh life. Lighten up an' jet me alone. Jus' like Orenthawl James."
